ผู้สื่อข่าวรายงานสถานการณ์น้ำท่วมในเขต จ.ขอนแก่น ที่ยังคงพบว่ามวลน้ำยังคงไหลเข้าท่วมบ้านเรือนประชาชนและพื้นที่การเกษตรในหลายอำเภอของ จ.ขอนแก่น ช่วงสะพานข้ามแม่น้ำชีบ้านกุดกว้าง ต.เมืองเก่า อ.เมือง จ.ขอนแก่น ห่างจากเขตตัวเมืองชั้นในของ จ.ขอนแก่น ประมาณ 7 กม. พบว่าระดับน้ำชีสูงปริ่มริมถนนมิตรภาพ ซึ่งเจ้าหน้าที่ได้ตั้งป้ายห้ามผู้ใช้รถใช้ถนนที่เดินทางมาจากทาง จ.นครราชสีมาจะขึ้นสะพานยกระดับไปลงฝั่งบ้านโนนตุ่น ต.เมืองเก่า และจากบ้านโนนตุ่มข้ามมายังถนนมิตรภาพให้ไปใช้เส้นทางอื่นเนื่องจากมวลน้ำได้ไหลท่วมบริเวณจุดกลับรถ และคอสะพานและพื้นผิวถนนทั้งมดแล้ว ปริมาณสูงถึง 40-60 ซม. โดยเจ้าหน้าที่ที่เกี่ยวข้อง ทั้งทหาร ตำรวจ ฝ่ายปกครอง เจ้าหน้าที่ ปภ. เจ้าหน้าที่กู้ชีพกู้ภัยได้นำเรือมาช่วยเหลือชาวบ้านอพยพย้ายไปพักอาศัยในที่ปลอดภัยจากน้ำ รวมทั้งขนย้ายทรัพย์สิน สัตว์เลี้ยงต่างๆมาทางเรืออย่างต่อเนื่อง
นายสมศักดิ์ จังตระกุล ผวจ.ขอนแก่น กล่าวว่า สถานการณ์น้ำท่วมในขณะนี้ทางจังหวัดเองได้มีแผนรับมือเฝ้าระวังอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยการบูรณาการร่วมมือกับทุกฝ่าย และได้รับการสนับสนุนจากภาคเอกชนอีกหลายที่ ในการช่วยบรรเทาความเดือดร้อนประชาชนชาว จ.ขอนแก่น ในทุกๆพื้นที่ทั้ง 26 อำเภอ รวมทั้งการบรรจุกระสอบทรายแจกจ่ายให้กับชาวบ้านนำไปทำแนวกั้นน้ำไม่ให้น้ำไหลเข้าท่วมบ้านเรือน ทั้งนี้ภายหลังจากที่มวลน้ำจากแม่น้ำชีได้ไหลเข้าพื้นที่ตามเส้นทางผ่านพื้นที่ อ.แวงน้อย,แวงใหญ่,โคกโพธิ์ไชย ,มัญจาคีรี,ชนบท,บ้านไผ่,บ้านแฮด และอำเภอเมืองขอนแก่น ก็จะไหลเข้าสู่ จ.มหาสารคาม เข้าสู่ จ.ร้อยเอ็ด โดยภาพรวมในขณะนี้ถือว่ายังต้องเฝ้าจับตาอิทธิพลจากพายุลูกใหม่ตลอด 24 ชม. นับจากนี้
