นายสมศักดิ์ จังตระกุล ผวจ.ขอนแก่น เปิดเผยว่า จากยอดจำนวนผู้ป่วยยืนยันติดเชื้อโควิด-19 รายใหม่ที่เพิ่มสูงขึ้นต่อเนื่องมาตั้งแต่ช่วงเทศกาลปีใหม่ โดยเฉพาะกับสายพันธุ์โอไมครอน ที่พบผู้ป่วยในพื้นที่อย่างต่อเนื่อง ซึ่งทีมสอบสวนโรคได้ติดตามไทม์ไลน์และเร่งตรวจคัดกรองกลุ่มเสี่ยงสัมผัสสูงในทุกพื้นที่อย่างเข้มงวด รวมทั้งการบริหารจัดการเตียงผู้ป่วยที่ขณะนี้ยังคงยืนยันว่าเพียงพอต่อการรับผู้ป่วยตามแผนการบริหารจัดการเตียงผู้ป่วย ซึ่งขณะนี้ขอนแก่นมีผู้ป่วยสะสมอยู่รวมกว่า 1,000 ราย ในขณะนี้เตียงผู้ป่วยทั้งจังหวัดมีเกือบ 3,000 เตียง ทั้งในส่วนของภาครัฐและภาคเอกชน แต่เพื่อความไม่ประมาทจึงสั่งการให้ฝ่ายสาธารณสุขเร่งประเมินสถานการณ์และบริหารจัดการเหตุการณ์ทั้งระบบ หากจำเป็นต้องเปิด รพ.สนาม ทางจังหวัดก็พร้อมที่จะทำทันทีเพื่อให้การรักษาเป็นไปอย่างรวดเร็วและต่อเนื่อง
“เมื่อ ศบค.ประกาศยกระดับมาตรการที่เข้มข้นและเข้มงวด จากสถานการณ์ที่กำลังเกิดขึ้นจังหวัดก็ได้เรียกประชุมด่วนคณะกรรมการควบคุมโรคติดต่อ ทันทีเพื่อประเมินและติดตามสถานการณ์ในภาพรวม โดยเฉพาะกับการหารือในการที่จะขยายระยะเวลาการงดการจำหน่ายเครืองดื่มที่มีแอลกอฮอลล์ในร้านอาหารออกไปอีก 7 วัน การเลื่อนการจัดกิจกรรมต่างๆ ออกไปในระยะนี้ เพื่อลดการรวมกลุ่มคนจำนวนมาด ขณะที่คลัสเตอร์ที่น่าเป็นห่วงนอกจากค่ายทหารแล้ว ยังคงมีอีกหลายส่วนที่ฝ่ายสอบสวนโรคยังคงเร่งลงพื้นที่ตรวจคัดกรอง เพื่อหาผู้ป่วยที่อาจจะตกค้างหรืออาจจะไม่กล้ามาพบแพทย์ได้เข้าสู่ระบบการรักษาและการควบคุมโรคทันที”
ผวจ.ขอนแก่น กล่าวต่ออีกว่า จังหวัดยังคงเฝ้าจับตาพื้นที่สีแดงที่จะต้องเพิ่มความเข้มงวดในการตรวจคัดกรอง ผู้ที่เดินทางมาจากกลุ่มจังหวัดดังกล่าวทั้งที่ ชลบุรี และอุบลราชธานี ที่จะต้องมีการตรวจคัดกรองอย่างเข้มวดทั้งที่ บขส.,สถานีรถไฟ และที่สนามบิน อย่างไรก็ตามขณะนี้รัฐบาลได้ประกาศให้ผู้ที่ครบกำหนดการฉีดวัคซีนป้องกันโควิดัข็มบูสเตอร์ เข็มที่ 3 ได้เข้ามารับการฉีดวัคซีนที่หน่วยบริการวัคซีนใกล้บ้าน ซึ่งฝ่ายสาธารณสุขได้ประกาศเป็นมหกรรมวัคซีนเข็ม 3 ทั้งจังหวัดที่จะให้บริการวัคซีนทุกหน่วยบริการทางการแพทย์ในช่วง 10-13 ม.ค.ที่จะถึงนี้
