น้ำตกทุ่งนาเมือง ตั้งอยู่บริเวณหน่วยพิทักษ์อุทยานแห่งชาติ ที่ 4 (คันท่าเกวียน) สามารถไปท่องเที่ยวได้โดยเดินทางไปตามเส้นทางบ้านทุ่งนาเมือง ต.นาโพธิ์กลาง ห่างจากที่ทำการอุทยานแห่งชาติผาแต้ม ประมาณ 40 กิโลเมตร เส้นทางรถยนต์สามารถเข้าถึงได้โดยสะดวก
ลักษณะเด่น
เป็นน้ำตกขนาดกลางที่มีความสวยงาม และอยู่ใกล้เส้นทางน้ำไหลลดหลั่นลงมาตามโขดหิน ชั้นบนสูงสุดประมาณ 25 เมตร บริเวณโดยรอบมีดอกไม้ต่างๆ มากมาย -น้ำตก -เถาวัลย์ยักษ์ -พลาญหิน –
ประวัติ
“น้ำตกทุ่งนาเมือง” เป็นน้ำตกอีกแห่งหนึ่งซึ่งตั้งอยู่ในเขตพื้นที่อุทยานแห่งชาติผาแต้มมีน้ำเฉพาะในช่วงฤดูฝน อยู่ห่างจาก “น้ำตกแสงจันทร์ (น้ำตกรู ,น้ำตกลงรู ,น้ำตกลอดรู )” เพียงแค่ประมาณ 2 กม. บางครั้งชาวบ้านในพื้นที่ก็เรียก “น้ำตกทุ่งนาเมือง” ว่า “น้ำตกลอดรู” ทำให้มีความสับสนกับ “น้ำตกแสงจันทร์” อยู่บ้าง สาเหตุที่ “น้ำตกทุ่งนาเมือง” มีชื่อเรียกอีกอย่างว่า “น้ำตกลอดรู” นั้นก็เนื่องมาจากสายน้ำของน้ำตกแห่งนี้จะไหลลัดตามลำห้วยลงสู่ซอกหินผา เลาะเรื่อยมาตามหลืบเร้นต่างๆ จนเผยออกมาปรากฏให้เห็นอีกครั้งใต้แผ่นหินขนาดใหญ่ซึ่งวางตัวอยู่ในลักษณะคล้ายโตรกถ้ำ แล้วจึงทิ้งตัวลงเป็นสายน้ำตกด้านหน้าภายใต้แผ่นหินนั้น พื้นที่โดยรอบน้ำตกทุ่งนาเมืองมีความงดงามชวนให้พิศวงอยู่ไม่น้อย ด้วยโบก(แอ่ง) บ่อจำนวนมากที่รายล้อมอยู่ทั่วบริเวณ บางโบกก็มีรูปร่างแปลกตา บางบ่อก็มีน้ำใสๆขังอยู่สะท้อนแสงสีของท้องฟ้าออกมาราวกับกระจกเงา หากใครที่ไม่มีโอกาสได้เดินทางมาท่องเที่ยว “สามพันโบก” แหล่งท่องเที่ยวชื่อดังของ จ.อุบลราชธานีในช่วงฤดูหนาว – ฤดูร้อน ลองมาเที่ยวน้ำตกทุ่งนาเมืองในช่วงฤดูฝนแทนก็จะได้บรรยากาศที่พอจะคล้ายคลึงกันบ้าง เพียงแต่ขนาดโบกของน้ำตกทุ่งนาเมืองนั้นจะไม่ยิ่งใหญ่อลังการงานสร้างเหมือน “สามพันโบก” เท่านั้น
