จังหวัดบุรีรัมย์ ร่วมกับหลายหน่วยงานทั้งภาครัฐและเอกชน เตรียมจัดงาน “ชักว่าว เคาท์ดาวน์ 2022” ที่สนามช้างอารีน่า อ.เมืองบุรีรัมย์ ในระหว่างวันที่ 24 ธันวาคม 2564 – 2 มกราคม 2565 โดยภายในงานก็จะมีกิจกรรมหลากหลาย ทั้งการปิดทองขอพร รัชกาลที่ 1 เพื่อเสริมสิริมงคลให้กับตนเองและครอบครัว , มหกรรมประกวดว่าวแอก , ประกวดไฟตกแต่งสวยงาม , กินกัญ STREET FOOD MARKET , ประกวดเต้น COVER DANCE ละ B-BOY , LIVE MUSIC , เที่ยวชมงานกาชาด และ NIGHT SURF SKATE รวมถึงการแสดงทางวัฒนธรรมอื่นๆ อีกมากมาย โดยเปิดให้ประชาชนนักท่องเที่ยวเข้าชมฟรีตลอดงาน
ด้านนายบดินทร์ เรืองสุขศรีวงศ์ ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมท่องเที่ยวจังหวัดบุรีรัมย์ ระบุว่า การจัดงานครั้งนี้เป็นการนำงานมารวมกันหลายงานทั้ง งานมหกรรมว่าวอีสานที่จัดกันมาต่อเนื่องทุกปี , งานกาชาดประจำปี และงานเคาวท์ดาวน์ปีใหม่ ซึ่งงานก็จะต่อเนื่องถึง 10 วันเต็ม เชื่อว่าก็จะส่งผลดีทำให้เกิดกระตุ้นเศรษฐกิจในจังหวัด หลังจากที่ประสบกับภาวะวิกฤตโควิด ซึ่งก็คาดการณ์ว่าการจัดงานครั้งนี้จะทำให้เศรษฐกิจกระเตื้องขึ้นไม่ต่ำกว่า 20 – 30 เปอร์เซ็นต์ ก็จะเป็นผลดีกับทั้งกลุ่มพ่อค้าแม่ค้า รวมไปถึงที่พักโรงแรม ร้านอาหารต่างๆ ในจังหวัดด้วย คาดว่าจะมีประชาชน นักท่องเที่ยวเข้ามาเที่ยวชม และจับจ่ายซื้อของภายในงานไม่ต่ำกว่าวันละ 10,000 คน ส่วนมาตรการในการป้องกันโควิดทางผู้จัดงานก็ได้ร่วมกับสาธารณสุขจังหวัด กำหนดรูปแบบในการตรวจคัดกรองสำหรับผู้ที่เข้าร่วมงานอย่างเข้มงวด และเป็นไปตามมาตรการของกระทรวงสาธารณสุขเต็มที่อยู่แล้ว ไม่ว่าจะเป็นงานนี้หรืองานต่างๆ ที่ผ่านมา
ส่วนกรณีที่มีชาวโซเชียลบางส่วนเข้ามาคอมเมนต์เกี่ยวกับการตั้งชื่องาน “ชักว่าว เคาท์ดาวน์” ที่อาจจะดู 2 แง่ 3 ง่ามนั้น ส่วนตัวมองว่าเป็นเพียงจุดดึงดูดให้คนสนใจเท่านั้น เพราะปกติงานว่าวก็จัดขึ้นทุกปีอยู่แล้ว มองว่าหากจะตั้งชื่องานว่า เคาท์ดาวน์ กับงานชักว่าว เคาท์ดาวน์ ก็ไม่ได้มีความหมายต่างกันเลย แต่ในยุคแบบนี้ก็แค่ต้องการตั้งชื่องานให้ดูน่าสนใจและดึงดูดคนเท่านั้น ไม่ได้มีเจตนาอย่างอื่น ซึ่งในงานก็มีการประกวดหรือแข่งขันว่าวจริงๆ ก็อยากจะเชิญชวนให้นักท่องเที่ยวได้เดินทางมาเที่ยวชมว่าภายในงานมีความน่าสนใจมากแค่ไหน
