หน้ากองบังคับการตำรวจภูธรจังหวัดอุดรธานี พล.ต.ต.พิษณุ อุณหเสรี ผบก.ภ.จว.อุดรธานี และพ.ต.อ.จามร อันดี ผกก.สภ.เมืองอุดรธานี พ.ต.ท.นพดล วิเศษศรี รอง ผกก.ฯ ปรก.หน.สภ.ย่อยนาข่า ร่วมกันแถลงข่าวผลการจับกุม นายนันทวัฒน์ อายุ 25 ปี ชาวบ้าน ต.บ้านขาว อ.เมืองอุดรธานี จ.อุดรธานี และ นายวันชัย อายุ 56 ปีพร้อมของกลาง ยาเสพติดให้โทษประเภท 1 (เมทแอมเฟตามีน) ชนิดเม็ด จำนวน 14 ถุง สีชมพูจำนวน 4 ถุง รวมจำนวน 24 ถุง เป็นเม็ดสีแดงจำนวน 4,709 เม็ด เป็นเม็ดสี เขียวจำนวน 48 เม็ด รวมยาบ้าทั้งสิ้นจำนวน 4,757 เม็ด ยาเสพติดให้โทษประเภท 1 (ยาไอซ์) บรรจุอยู่ในถุงสีทอง จำนวน 18 ถุง แต่ละถุงมีน้ำหนัก 2 กิโลกรัม รวมยาไอซ์ทั้งสิ้นน้ำหนัก 18 กิโลกรัม มูลค่ายาเสพติด 30 ล้านบาท
นอกจากนี้ยังมีอาวุธปืนลูกซองสั้น จำนวน 1 กระบอกลูกกระสุนปืนลูกซอง เบอร์ 12 จำนวน 4 นัด ตร.แจ้งข้อหา มียาเสพติดให้โทษประเภท ไว้ในครอบครองโดยไม่ได้รับอนุญาต มีอาวุธปืนและเครื่องกระสุนปืนไว้ในความครอบครองโดยไม่ได้รับอนุญาตจากนายทะเบียนท้องที่
ด้าน พล.ต.ต.พิษณุ อุณหเสรี ผบก.ภ.จว.อุดรธานี เปิดเผยว่า สืบเนื่องวันที่ 7 ก.ย.65 ที่ผ่านมา เจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจชุดปปส.ภูธร จ.อุดรธานี จับกุมตัวนายวันชัย ชาวต.บ้านขาว อ.เมืองอุดรธานี จ.อุดรธานี ในข้อหาเสพและมียาเสพติด สอบสวนขยายผลเพิ่มเติม โดยรับสารภาพว่า ยาบ้าและยาไอซ์ตนได้มาจากนายนันทวัฒน์ ซึ่งเป็นลูกชายของตนเอง และยาเหล่านี้ลูกชายนำมาให้เสพและขายด้วย ต่อมาตร.จึงติดตามจับกุมนายเบ๊นได้ที่หน้าวิทยาลัยฯแห่งหนึ่งในจ.อุดรธานี ขณะกำลังเข้าไปวิทยาลัย ตร.จึงได้ควบคุมตัวไปยึดมียาบ้า, ยาไฮซ์ และอาวุธปืนลูกซอง ที่บ้านได้เพิ่มจำนวนมากดังกล่าว
นายเบ๊น รับสารภาพว่า ตนได้รับยาบ้าและยาไอซ์มาจากนายวีระชาติ ซึ่งเป็นเครือข่ายยาเสพติดข้ามชาติอาศัยอยู่ในประเทศลาว นายวีระชาติฯ สั่งให้ลูกน้องนำยาบ้าและยาไอซ์บรรทุกมาทางเรือพาย และมาส่งมอบให้ตนขับรถไปรับที่ริมฝั่งกับโรงแรมแม่โขง อ.เมือง จ.หนองคาย เมื่อตนได้รับยาบ้าและยาไอซ์มาแล้ว นายวีระชาติ จะสั่งให้ตนนำยาบ้าและยาไอซ์ดังกล่าวไปส่งให้กับลูกค้าที่กรุงเทพฯ และในจ.อุดรธานี โดยตนเองก็จะให้พ่อทำหน้าที่ส่งยาบ้าให้ด้วย บางครั้งพ่อก็เสพจน เตรียมส่งยาไอซ์และยาบ้าไปส่งขายต่อ แต่มาถูกตร.จับกุมดังกล่าว โดยยาเสพติดล็อตนี้หากเล็ดลอดไปขายได้จะมีมูลค่าถึง 30 ล้านบาท
