วัดป่ามหาเจดีย์แก้ว หรือที่ชาวบ้านเรียกกันว่า วัดล้านขวด ตั้งอยู่ที่บ้านดอน ตำบลโนนสูง อำเภอขุนหาญ จังหวัดศรีสะเกษ ที่ได้ชื่อว่า “วัดล้านขวด” ก็เพราะสถานที่ต่างๆ ภายในวัด ไม่ว่าจะเป็นซุ้มประตูทางเข้า ลานจอดรถ โบสถ์ ศาลา หอระฆัง กุฏิ หรือแม้แต่ห้องน้ำ ต่างถูกประดับประดาด้วยขวดแก้วหลากสีหลายแบบรวมกันกว่า 1.5 ล้านใบ ซึ่งความคิดเช่นนี้ไม่ได้เป็นของนักออกแบบหรือศิลปินท่านใด แต่มาจากพระภิกษุรูปหนึ่ง นามว่า “พระครูวิเวกธรรมาจารย์” หรือ “หลวงปู่ลอด” ที่ครั้งหนึ่งได้เข้าไปพักปักกลดในป่าช้าหนองใหญ่ (ที่ตั้งวัดล้านขวดในปัจจุบัน) โดยในระหว่างนั้นมีญาติโยมและชาวบ้านแวะเวียนมาปฏิบัติธรรมอยู่เสมอ ทำให้หลวงปู่เกิดความคิดที่จะสร้างวัดขึ้นบนพื้นที่ป่าช้าแห่งนี้ แต่เนื่องจากบริเวณใกล้เคียงมีขยะจำพวกขวดอยู่มาก ซึ่งท่านเห็นว่าขวดเหล่านั้นมีสีต่างๆ สามารถนำไปตกแต่งอาคารได้อย่างสวยงาม และยังช่วยประหยัดงบประมาณค่าสี ค่ากระเบื้องได้อีก หลวงปู่จึงทำการรวบรวมขวดจากหมู่บ้านในละแวกวัด และจากหมู่บ้านใกล้เคียง นำมาสร้างกุฏิหลังแรก ต่อมาเมื่อวัดล้านขวดเป็นที่รู้จักทั่วไป คนในจังหวัดใกล้เคียงก็ได้หลั่งไหลเข้ามาสู่วัด โดยต่างคนต่างก็นำขวดติดไม้ติดรถมาบริจาคด้วย จากนั้นอาคารต่างๆ ก็ได้ทยอยถูกสร้างขึ้น กระทั่งวัดล้านขวดกลายเป็นวัดที่สมบูรณ์ดังเช่นในปัจจุบัน
ด้วยความแปลกใหม่ของวัสดุที่ใช้ตกแต่งอาคารสถานที่ ทำให้วัดป่ามหาเจดีย์แก้ว หรือวัดล้านขวดกลายเป็นอีกหนึ่งจุดหมายสำคัญของการท่องเที่ยวในอำเภอขุนหาญ จังหวัดศรีษะเกษ สำหรับผู้ที่เดินทางมาเที่ยวเป็นครั้งแรกคงจะรู้สึกตื่นตาตื่นใจไม่น้อย เมื่อได้พบเห็นสิ่งปลูกสร้างรอบตัวถูกประดับประดาด้วยขวดแก้วหลากสีสันโดยเฉพาะ ศาลาฐานสโมสรเจดีย์แก้ว และ สิมน้ำ ซึ่งงดงามอลังการด้วยขวดจำนวนนับแสนใบ ที่นี่นอกจากจะได้ชื่นชมศิลปะการสลับสีขวดเป็นลวดลายต่างๆ บนอาคารแล้ว ผู้มาเยือนยังจะได้ทึ่งกับความคิดในการนำฝาขวดมาปะติดจนได้ภาพพุทธประวัติที่ไม่เหมือนที่ใดอีกด้วย
