วัดมหาพุทธาราม บ้านเมืองเหนือ อำเภอเมืองศรีสะเกษ จังหวัดศรีสะเกษ ตั้งอยู่กลางเมืองศรีสะเกษ มีวิหารซึ่งเป็นที่ประดิษฐานพระพุทธรูปคู่บ้านคู่เมืองและเป็นที่เคารพสักการะของชาวศรีสะเกษคือ หลวงพ่อโต เป็นพระพุทธรูปองค์ใหญ่ปางมารวิชัย มีความสูงจากฐานถึงยอดเกศ 6.85 เมตร หน้าตักกว้าง 3.50 เมตร เดิมเป็นพระพุทธรูปศิลาจำหลัก สันนิษฐานว่าเป็นพระพุทธรูปสมัยขอมซึ่งมีอายุร่วมพันปีมาแล้วแต่มาสร้างเพิ่มเติมขึ้นเมื่อใดไม่ปรากฏแน่ชัด ภายในวัดมีวิหารซึ่งเป็นที่ประดิษฐานหลวงพ่อโต พระพุทธรูปศักดิ์สิทธิ์เป็นที่เคารพสักการะของชาวศรีสะเกษ
