เขื่อนห้วยขนุน อยู่บริเวณหน่วยพิทักษ์อุทยานแห่งชาติ ขห.1 (เขื่อนห้วยขนุน) เป็นอ่างเก็บน้ำชลประทานที่รับน้ำชลประทานที่รับจากห้วย 2 สาย สายแรก คือ ห้วยด่านไหลลงมาจากยอดภูพงทางด้านทิศใต้ อีกสายหนึ่ง คือ ห้วยตะแอกเป็นลำห้วยใหญ่ที่ไหลลงมาจากยอดภูพงด้านทิศตะวันออก อ่างเก็บน้ำมีทิวทัศน์สวยงามเหมาะสมแก่การพักผ่อน เที่ยวชมธรรมชาติและเข้าค่ายกางเต็นท์พักแรม ห่างจากอุทยานแห่งชาติ 20 กิโลเมตร
