นายสมศักดิ์ ทวินันท์ หัวหน้าพัฒนาโครงการพื้นที่บริเวณหนองอึ่งอันเนื่องมาจากพระราชดำริ บ้านคำน้ำสร้าง ตำบลค้อเหนือ อำเภอเมืองยโสธร จังหวัดยโสธร เปิดเผยว่า ในพื้นที่โครงการฯมีพันธุ์ไม้นานาชนิดแจกจ่ายให้กับประชาชน และต้นยางนาผสมเชื้อเห็ดเผาะเป็นพันธุ์ไม้ที่ประชาชนนิยมปลูกกัน โดยเฉพาะชาวจังหวัดยโสธร โดยในแต่ละปีทางโครงการพัฒนาพื้นที่บริเวณหนองอึ่งอันเนื่องมาจากพระราชดำริ จะทำกล้าต้นยางนาไว้เป็นจำนวนมากเนื่องจากประชาชนจังหวัดโสธรนิยมปลูกกัน เพราะในต้นยางนาเราได้ใส่เชื้อเผาะลงไปด้วย จึงทำให้ความต้องการที่จะปลูกยางนาของประชาชนเพิ่มขึ้นในแต่ละปี และในปัจจุบันเราสามารถแจกจ่ายกล้ายางนาให้กับประชาชนในพื้นที่จังหวัดยโสธรได้ปีละ 1 แสนต้นเท่านั้น คนละ 200 ต้น โดยแจกฟรีไม่เสียค่าใช้จ่ายส่วนต่างจังหวัดคนละ 50 ต้นเท่านั้น
