นพ.วิญญู รองนายแพทย์ สสจ.นครราชสีมา ชี้แจงสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดโรคติดเชื้อไวรัสโควิด-19 ระลอกใหม่ในพื้นที่ 32 อำเภอ ของ จ.นครราชสีมา พบผู้ป่วยรายใหม่ 143 ราย เป็นการติดเชื้อนอกพื้นที่ 29 ราย และการติดเชื้อในพื้นที่ 114 ราย ป่วยสะสม 34,735ราย รักษาหาย 33,675 ราย ยังรักษาอยู่ 776 ราย เสียชีวิตรายใหม่ 2 ราย เป็นชายอายุ 43 ปี ต.ในเมือง อ.เมือง และหญิงอายุ 23 ปี ต.หนองไผ่ล้อม อ.เมือง มีโรคที่เกี่ยวกับความผิดปกติของระบบภูมิคุ้มกันของร่างกาย รวมเสียชีวิตสะสม 284 ราย
ส่วนสายพันธุ์ “โอไมครอน” พบผู้ป่วยสะสม 17 ราย รักษาอยู่ที่โรงพยาบาลมหาราช นครราชสีมา 1 ราย รพ.กรุงเทพราชสีมา 1 ราย ,รพ.ขามสะแกแสง 1 ราย ,รพ.พิมาย 2 ราย ,รพ.เสิงสาง 1 ราย ,รพ.ค่ายสุรนารี 1 ราย ,รพ.ครบุรี 2 ราย ,รพ.บัวใหญ่ 1 ราย รพ.ประทาย 1 ราย และอยู่ระหว่างติดตามการรักษา 5 ราย ทั้งหมดอยู่ในการควบคุมของแพทย์และยังไม่พบอาการแทรกซ้อน ซึ่งมี 1 ราย เป็นนักท่องเที่ยวชาวฝรั่งเศสได้ขอไปรักษาตัวที่ รพ.สมิติเวช กรุงเทพมหานคร
นายวิเชียร ผวจ.นครราชสีมา เปิดเผยว่า เพื่อความรวดเร็วและป้องกันเชื้อ “โอไมครอน” ซึ่งมีแนวโน้มจะลุกลามจากการเดินทางทั้งท่องเที่ยวและกลับมาภูมิลำเนาเดิมในช่วงเทศกาลปีใหม่ที่ผ่านมา คณะกรรมการโรคติดต่อจังหวัดนครราชสีมา มีมติเห็นชอบให้ดำเนินการตามข้อสั่งการของศูนย์ปฏิบัติการศูนย์บริหารสถานการณ์โควิด-19 (ศปก.ศบค.) ทันที รวมทั้งให้เปิดโรงพยาบาลสนาม อาคารชาติชายฮอลล์ สนามกีฬาเฉลิมพระเกียรติ 80 พรรษา เพื่อรองรับผู้ป่วยรายใหม่ที่พบการระบาดในพื้นที่ 25 อำเภอ จากจำนวน 32 อำเภอ
